Aug 25 2008     Warhammer Weekend
by Cablespider | 80 Views | 5 Replies
It was a kick ass weekend with WAR! Waiting for launch is going to be tough.

I was hoping to see more people during WAR Weekend. I don't know who else got into preview weekend other than Pop, Favas and Seres. So now the dilemma seems to be...what side do we roll on? I have to say, choosing a class in WAR is tough. I liked them all.

If you plan on attending launch with us, please get involved in the daily discussions about the guilds future with WAR. We have a hot topic going in the member forums.
Aug 17 2008     Good times ahead?

I've been bummed over the last few weeks for having bailed on the guild. AoC just got under my skin at some point and I couldn't get myself to log on anymore. I hate the way Failcom treats it's customers. A few of us jumped on the Warhammer bandwagon since then. I expected to see some backlash due to my decision but it was actually much worse. Most members weren't coming around at all. Teamspeak was dead...the site was dead. All hope had been lost. The guild members that joined Armed Insanity kicked ass! Not being able to socialize with them anymore made leaving the game tough. It made my decision even tougher to deal with. I enjoy the social aspect of MMO's. The whole process of getting to know people and making friends is cool to me. I missed that once I left.

This evening, guildies began showing up here at the site. Although it was only a few members, it was enough to make me smile while replying to their posts because I enjoyed my time with...
Aug 08 2008     AoC Mass Bans
by Cablespider | 123 Views | 3 Replies
Due to the mass ban the other night in Yak's cave, I have decided to no longer support Failcom and it's shitty game. I was willing to overlook the vast amount of problems and stick it out. I was willing to deal with the fact that end game was an endless grind and not much else because content was lacking. I was more than willing to farm hours on end everyday just to be with the guild, socialize and see the city finished. But you drew the line on this one!

I wasn't in game when the ban happened. I was in teamspeak with the group that was running the raid at the time. The fact that the GM didn't even attempt to warn the group about what he deemed 'terrain exploitation' pisses me off more than anything. No one had any idea that the strat they were running would cause them to get banned. This was the first time most of the members had been in this instance anyway. Nowhere is it noted on Failcoms site that this was an exploit and may be a bannable...
Aug 04 2008     New site
by Cablespider | 135 Views | 7 Replies
I got bored and starting building a new site using a different system. The phpBB3 forum was giving me grief for some reason and causing the server to bog down and even lock up at times. I was able to convert the phpBB3 site over to this new site. No loss of posts or accounts. The only thing that didn't take after the conversion was avatars. All my bbcodes for youtube and shit are jacked but I can fix that easily. Please try logging in to see if the account conversion was successful. If a few of you test the log in and report here, that will be good enough info for me. I'll then make the conversion permanent.

Jul 11 2008     We did it!

What seemed impossible became a reality today! The T1 City is complete with the exception of two wall sections. The idea is to keep these two sections out for easy access. The first section I left out is part of the inner ring. This will make things easy when going from the Keep to the workshops and trade post. Or back to the Keep if you need to vendor trash items. The second section is next to the trade post. Nothing new here. This will make entering and exiting the city a breeze. Once all the buildings have been upgraded to T3, I will seal the city.

None of this could have been possible in the time that we did it without the hard work and support of this guilds membership. It was tough because of the large amount of cash needed to fortify the city. With lots of low to mid level members in the guild, cash was tight for many and monetary donations barely came in. Cethar and I invested more than 100g ourselves just to keep this going. Come crunch time though, we saw a nice influx of...
